Meet Miss Hospitality

Mary Elizabeth Stringer

Mary Elizabeth Stringer was crowned Mississippi Miss Hospitality 2016 while representing Starkville in the Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant at the Saenger Theater in Downtown Hattiesburg. Twenty-seven of Mississippi’s best and brightest young women competed in the Pageant for more than $100,000 in scholarships and prizes.

Mary Elizabeth Stringer is currently a senior at Mississippi State University where she is studying kinesiology with plans of being a physician’s assistant specializing in pediatrics.  She has served on the executive council of her sorority, Phi Mu, and is actively involved in the Student Association.  She is currently serving her second term as a College of Education ambassador.

She will travel more than 30,000 miles during her reign, promoting Mississippi’s tourism and economic development programs and serving as the state’s goodwill ambassador, sharing the spirit of the hospitality state with everyone she meets.
